Funeral services for Ricky Dale Price, 64, of Blanchard were held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was at the Washington Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mr. Price passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024.
The older of two children, Rick was born June 4, 1959 in Norman, Okla., to Russell and Mary Sue (Vaughn) Price. He was raised in the Cole area and attended school in Washington, graduating with the Warriors Class of 1977.
By chance, he met a young lady named Sandra Lea Henagar. They were at the stockyards that day, and the rest as they say is history. They made their home in Blanchard where together they raised two children, son Russell and daughter Sherri.
Rick worked as a jeweler for many years, and together with Sandra, owned and operated Price’s Touch of Gold. Away from work, he enjoyed lake trips with his family and fishing and hunting. He studied the legend of Bigfoot and researched UFO sightings as a hobby.
Rick was quite the practical jokester and his favorite holiday was April Fools. He was always ready for a good laugh! Rick cherished Sandra and his children, and he was never happier than the day he became “PePa”. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Sue Price.
Rick leaves behind his sweetheart, Sandra Price of the home; children, Russell Price and wife, Erin, of Piedmont; daughter, Sherri Heckenkamp and husband, Chuck, of Guthrie; sister, Sheila Werneburg and husband, Ray, of Blanchard; his pride and joy, grandchildren, Brooke, Gamble, Sophie, Paisley, Cache, Jagger, Tray, Nathan and Kale; nephews, Dustin, Cody and Ethan and many other family and friends.
