The Washington slow-pitch softball team finished another busy week and have won 13 of their last 14 games.
They opened with Plainview in the Turnpike Classic at Sulphur, beating them 16-5.
Raelee Adkins and Julie Hoehner both had two home runs in the game. Hoehner was 5-5 with four RBIs and Adkins was 4-4 with six ribbies.
Ava Salcedo scored five times.
Sulphur
They then knocked off Sulphur, 17-3.
Salcedo carried the big stick in the game and homered twice. Washington’s 10-run third inning ended any hope for Sulphur.
North Rock Creek
Washington lost to North Rock Creek, 8-4.
It broke a 10-game win streak.
Shelbie Caveness was 1-2 with a double and a pair of RBIs.
The Warriors committed three errors.
Cyril
Washington then beat Class 2A No. 4 Cyril 5-1.
Hoehner was 2-3 and had a pair of ribbies.
The Warriors scored two in the first, a run in the third and two in the fourth.
Washington was mostly clean on defense, with only one error.
Anadarko
They steam rolled Anadarko in a double header on Monday, winning 16-0 and 19-1.
Briley Beller had a huge game at the plate in the first game, knocking in six runs. She was 2-2 with a homer.
Emersyn Massey also homered and was 2-3 at the plate.
In the second game, Caveness went 3-3 with five ribbies.
She had two homers.
Also going deep in the game were Kelby Beller, Reese Schrader and Adkins.
Washington is 18-3 and ranked No. 2 in Class 5A.
