The McClain County Health Department is relocating to a new facility in Purcell.

The move will begin Friday, November 6, with the department scheduled to reopen at its new location Friday, November 13.

During the transition, clients are welcome to visit the Blanchard location at 600 N. Main St., Blanchard, OK 73010 for services.

“We are excited about the opportunities this new location will provide for McClain County,” said Daryn Kirkpatrick, Regional Administrative Director for Oklahoma State Department of Health District 6.

“Its location, along a more visible, well-traveled thoroughfare will make it easier for community members to access our services. The larger space will also allow us to better serve our clients today while providing room to grow alongside the community in the years to come.”

The department's phone number, 405-527-6541, will remain the same.

Clients are encouraged to take note of the new address and plan accordingly when visiting the health department in Purcell after November 13.
