A private family service will be held for Taujauna Gail Staggs of the Falconhead Community in Burneyville, Okla. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta, Okla.
Gail was born on October 9, 1942, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Thomas and Vivian (May) McCall. She passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 77.
Gail grew up in Purcell and graduated from Purcell High School with the class of 1960. She married the love of her life Jack Harold Staggs on October 28, 1962. They just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Approximately 11 years ago, they moved to the Falconhead Community.
Gail spent many years in sales before making a career with WinStar World Casino as an Administrator in the Human Resources Department. She enjoyed collecting old books, antique shopping and was a very crafty person who enjoyed painting ceramics and crocheting. She was also an excellent seamstress. Gail was the family caretaker and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids who lovingly called her “Pappy”. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Purcell.
Survivors include her husband, Jack of the home; two sons, Cary Staggs and wife, Mary Sue, of Montague, Texas, and Chris Staggs and wife, Jenna, of Roanoke, Texas; two brothers, Tom McCall and wife, Kay, of Arlington, Texas, and Doyle Ray McCall and wife, Mary Ann, of Fairview, Okla.; sister, Joyce Corpany and husband, Herb, of Red Oak, Texas; two grandchildren, Brittany Range of Justin, Texas, and Steven Staggs of Denton, Texas; and great-grandchild, Kellan Range.
