Season over for Lex Bulldogs

Lexington closed out the 2022 football season on the road at Holdenville with a 44-8 loss.

The Bulldogs lone score was a three yard touchdown run by Cameron Weatherford in the third quarter. The two-point conversion was successful.

The Bulldogs finished with 163 total yards, 27 of which were passing yards off the arm of Caydn Krueger. He was 4-4 with his longest a 15 yard play.

Weatherford led the Bulldogs in rushing with 76 yards.

Weatherford came to play on both sides of the ball leading the tackling chart with 12 tackles. Ean Caywood finished with nine tackles with one tackle for loss.

Lexington ended the season 1-9.

“I was proud of our young kids who had to step up,” head coach Keith Bolles said.

“We had some young kids that had to learn new positions. I’m proud of their willingness to learn those new positions.

In the long run it will pay dividends for our future,” Bolles said. “We had quite a few out last week and our young kids stepped in and played hard.”
