Games started Tuesday at Mount St. Mary

The Lexington Bulldogs began their four team regional on Tuesday at Mount St. Mary with Millwood, Blackwell and the Rockets. Games were originally scheduled to start Thursday, but weather forced the schedule to be moved up.

Lexington played Blackwell in their first game. One team will advance from each regional.

Last week, the Bulldogs picked up two wins over Frederick on Tuesday (5-4, 16-1), two wins over Lindsay on Thursday (11-2, 2-1), and a 9-0 win over Stratford. They lost 7-0 to CHA on Saturday.

The Bulldogs beat Pauls Valley 18-5 on Monday.

That brought their season record to 25-10.

Lindsay

Lexington collected 11 hits in their first game against Lindsay. Zeke Faulkenberry, Drew Dierking, James McMillan and Hunter Olson had two hits each.

Dierking also had three RBIs. while Olson finished with two.

Rollins was on the mound for Lexington. He lasted seven innings and struck out five. He allowed two runs on eight hits.

Game two was a 2-1 win for Lexington.

Lindsay led 1-0 through three and a half innings. The Bulldogs got on board with one run in the bottom of the fourth.

Ryan Johnson drew a walk in the bottom of the fifth to score the go-ahead run.

The Bulldogs had seven hits in the win, including two from Dierking and Rollins. Johnson had the lone RBI.

Dierking was solid on the mound, lasting seven innings and striking out eight batters.

Stratford

Lexington picked up the 9-0 win over Stratford on Monday.

Dierking and McMillan led the team with two hits. McMillan also had three RBIs.

Faulkenberry, Rollins and Johnson had one hit apiece.

Kash Klupenger was on the mound for the win. He struck out three and allowed five hits.

CHA

The lone blemish on their record last week was a 7-0 loss to CHA on Saturday.

The Bulldogs managed just three hits – one each from Faulkenberry, McMillan and Kaiden McRavin.

Pauls Valley

Lexington got a lopsided, 18-5 win over Pauls Valley on Monday.

The Bulldogs had 12 hits in the game, including two each from Dierking, McMillan and McRavin.

Rollins and McRavin had three RBIs each.

The offense was rolling from the first inning when Rollins had a home run.

The Bulldogs scored six runs in the third on four hits – Carroll doubled to score one, Johnson doubled to score two, Olson singled to score two and an error scored one.

They pushed another seven runs across in the fourth inning on just three hits.

Olson got the win on the mound. He walked three and struck out five batters.
