Last week’s wet weather wreaked havoc on Wayne’s slow-pitch schedule clear through Monday as their game with Konawa was canceled.
Last Tuesday’s game was moved up due to the threat of severe weather, but the Lady Bulldogs lost 12-3 to Wetumka.
Despite outhitting the Lady Chieftains 13-12, the Wayne Lady Bulldogs’ errors in the field were too much to overcome. They had eight in the loss.
Six Lady Bulldogs had two hits including Taelyn Ringwald, Maddie Moreno, Cylie Jones, Alyssa Hobson, Lily Whitaker and Addison Clagg. Scarlett Selzer finished the game with one hit.
Ava Stottlemyre was in the circle for all seven innings. She allowed 12 runs on 11 hits, one of them earned, and fanned four batters.
Last Thursday they were supposed to be in Vanoss for a festival, but those games were rained out.
The Lady Bulldogs were in Varnum on Tuesday and will be hosting Central Marlow on Monday.
