Purcell’s Jayden Polk shattered his personal best in the 5K at the State Cross Country Meet in Edmond last Saturday and became the first Dragon freshman to earn All-Star status.
Polk finished 10th at the 3A State Meet at Edmond Santa Fe in 16:28.70, smashing his previous personal best of 18:04.08.
He will run in the Meet of Champions this Saturday at North Rock Creek.
