PHS Slow-pitch 2-2 on season

Purcell’s slow-pitch softball team leveled its season record at 2-2 with victories over Lexington and Blanchard at Lexington last week.

The NRC Tournament was not played due to inclement weather.

“We are low on numbers and our senior pitcher, Kelly Anderson, is currently out due to injury,” head coach Sarah Jones said.

“We appreciate manager Rosie Smith and Isabella Walker who are willing to come in and help us out when we need them so we can play,” Jones said.

“The girls are still having fun. We will get more comfortable at the plate,” Jones confirmed. “Our defense has been really good and our hitting is coming around.”

The Dragons get back on the field Monday at Harrah for a two-game set with Harrah and Tecumseh.
