Lexington High School’s Southern Accents Show Choir has been given an incredible opportunity.

They have been selected to perform at the White House  during the Christmas season.

The students will perform December 7 inside the White House.

Last week Angela Lind was notified Southern Accents has also been selected to participate in the formal ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

This includes the laying of a wreath which will be placed by two Lexington Seniors.

“We are currently raising funds to help make this once-in-a-lifetime experience possible for every student in Southern Accents,” Ms. Lind said.

Donations will help cover expenses such as airfare and transportation, accommodations, meals, performance attire and materials.

“Any contribution, regardless of the amount, will help us move closer to our goal and ensure that our students have the opportunity to participate. Individuals, families, and businesses are all invited to support Southern Accents through a monetary donation or by sponsoring a student or portion of the trip expenses,” Lind continued.

Checks may be made payable to Lexington Public Schools, with Show Choir written in the memo. Donations may be given directly to a Southern Accents student or delivered or mailed to:
