With all 77 Oklahoma Counties in a drought situation, and at least 36 counties in the exceptional category, Wednesday and Thursday’s rainfall totals were more than welcome.
Purcell recorded 1.95” last week but as you travel down I-35 the totals improved significantly.
Pauls Valley picked up 3.46”, Madill 4.38” and Burneyville in Love County topped everyone in the state with 6.9”.
Washington measured 1.14” and Byars 3.25”.
In addition to McClain, Cleveland and Garvin Counties, others in the exceptional drought included Oklahoma, Grady, Murray and Jefferson plus a major amount of counties in the western part of the state.
Purcell’s total for the year-to-date is 21.25” compared to last year at this time at 42.74”.
Oklahoma City has recorded 14.66” with the normal for this date 29.15”.
