Lexington will takes its 2-2 season record on the road this week, facing the undefeated Outlaws of Marlow.
Kick off in Stephens County is set for 7 p.m.
The powerful Outlaws will operate out of multiple sets on offense showing a lot of double tight end looks with three backs lined up in the backfield.
Their run the ball down your throat attack will be something to be reckoned with.
“They like to bloody your nose,” head coach Keith Bolles reports of the Outlaws.”
Bolles said the key for his Bulldogs is to get all 11 players all tugging on the rope at the same time and in the same direction.
“We’ve got to get everyone on the same page defensively and offensively,” Bolles said.
“Your defense is supposed to fit like a glove and we don’t. We’ve spent this week (preparing for Marlow) simply getting better for us.”
In their 63-8 loss at the hands of Little Axe last Friday night senior quarterback Cadyn Krueger scored the lone Bulldog touchdown and senior Cale Garver scored two points on defense, tackling an Indian ball carrier in the end zone for a safety.
“We did not play well,” Bolles admitted. “I can’t explain it. We’ve got to execute offensively. Our biggest problem is we don’t have all 11 guys doing what they’re supposed to do.
“That’s what we’ve been working on this week, getting everyone on the same page,” he concluded.
