Lexington is on the road this Thursday night at Crossings. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

Lexington took the opening kickoff and drove the ball smartly down the field and scored a touchdown last Friday night at Floyd West Field.

But that 7-0 lead didn’t last long and things went south in a 37-7 loss at home to Lindsay.

Lindsay took the ensuing drive in for a touchdown and were successful in a two point conversion.

“We just didn’t play our game,” head coach Keith Bolles said.

“We had mental mistakes like jumping off sides both on offense and defense,” the coach said. “Those are things we can correct for this week.”

Bolles said the Bulldogs’ game at Crossings is like a playoff game in a must-win situation as far as the district standings are concerned.

“We have to take care of business, control the ball,” Bolles said. “They are a very spread oriented team. We need to keep the ball away from them and take care of our business.

“It was not our shiniest moment,” Bolles said. “We need to regroup and refocus and get ready to go. One thing about this group is they are resilient.”

There were no nominees for Player of the Week.
