Lexington has a bye week this week and will take the time off to heel up some bumps and bruises.
They will get back on the field September 11 at Wayne.
The Bulldogs took it on the chin at Konawa to open the season, coming up on the short end of an 84-14 count.
Lexington’s first touchdown was as seven-yard run by Kade Neri-Tahsequah.
The second score was a 10-yard pass from Sawyer Beers to Cash Dierking.
The Tigers are coming off a 9-2 season last year and have a veteran group of seniors
First year head coach Sean Guerra said the lone bright spot in the game was the pass catching of Cash Dierking.
“He did some good things,” Guerra said. “We are young and inexperienced and Konawa is a very good team. We’ll bounce back after the bye week.”
James McMillan, Jaxon Torres and Chase Koster all sustained injuries in the game.
Their status was unknown at press time.
