David was the youngest born to Naomi and Leonard Matthews of Purcell, Oklahoma, on July 14, 1955 in Purcell.
David was the typical “baby” of the family - spoiled rotten to the core, ornery as the day was long. David was a hard worker. He never shirked a responsibility and was eager to help you in your endeavors.
David was recently involved in an automobile accident that eventually took a toll on him.
David was re-born again in Christ Jesus on October 21, 2020 and went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Naomi and Leonard; his eldest brother, Harold and son, Jeffery.
He is survived by his sisters Sue, Wilma and Wanda; his granddaughter, Tiffany; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and business associates.
He will be remembered for his infectious smile and humoristic outlook on life. He looked at life with a positive attitude even in times of trouble. John 5:24-25 “I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.”
