Memorial services for Lynn Dale Broyles, 67, of Kingfisher will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 at Sanders Funeral Service Chapel. Services were under the direction of the Sanders Funeral Service.
Lynn Dale Broyles passed away August 20, 2023 in Kingfisher, Okla.
He was born to Calvin Dale Broyles and Betty Jo Broyles in Ardmore, Oklahoma, on December 23, 1955. Lynn grew up and graduated from Purcell High School in 1975.
In 1977, Lynn moved to Kingfisher, Oklahoma, when he took a job with Beard Oil Company. He continued in the Oil and Gas Industry until his retirement in 2017.
His friends and family knew him as an honest, loyal, and straight forward man who was always willing to help anyone in need.
He loved going out to “the land,” shooting guns, fishing and telling detailed stories. Although rarely caught in a photograph, he loved to laugh.
Lynn and Doris were married on September 27, 1980. They had two kids, their son, Jeremiah Broyles, and daughter Stephanie (Broyles) Smith.
Lynn was affectionately known as Grumpa by his Grumpkids: Trenton, Mia, Preston, Griffin, Lillian, Emersyn, Graceyn, Eli, Haddyn, and “Thor”.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Betty Broyles; his sister, Charlotte Cannon; his niece, Crystal Cannon, and his in-laws, Lump (Sam) and Louis Hilburn.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Broyles; his son, Jeremiah and wife, Tiffany; his daughter, Stephanie and husband, Donnie; his Grumpkids; his brother, David Broyles and wife, Nancy; his nephews, Alex Broyles, Andrew Broyles, Aaron Broyles and Nick Cannon; and nieces, Bridget Gilliam, Courtney Lezzi and Danielle Lopez.
