Timmy Ray Hayes died July 17, 2024, surround by his family, in Denison, Texas, at the age of 59 years 11 months 15 days. Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will followed at Banner Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Tim was born August 2, 1964, in Oklahoma City to Kenneth and Mary Joann (Rankins) Hayes.
Tim’s early years were adorned with resilience and a strong work ethic instilled by his father. The vast landscapes of Oklahoma witnessed Tim’s growth, as he embarked on a path alongside his father in the noble craft of roofing at a young age.
A handyman of diverse talents and unwavering dedication, Tim’s hands crafted wonders and did many repairs with equal finesse during his lifetime. There wasn’t anything Tim couldn’t build or repair.
His marriage to Kim Fletcher blessed him with two daughters, illuminating his world with paternal joy and love. After parting ways as friends, Tim embraced change with grace. His union with Ila Martin intertwined their lives, gaining Tim two sons. Family reigned supreme in Tim’s heart, where every moment was an opportunity to provide unwavering support as the most passionate cheerleader for his loved ones.
Tim’s essence thrived in acts of kindness and service to others; a testament to his profound love language centered around fortifying familial bonds and nurturing those around him. A devoted servant of God, he traversed life’s challenges sharing his spiritual odyssey with all who crossed his path.
Amidst the tranquility of peaceful waters noodling for catfish or watching sports like OU football and Thunder basketball, Tim found moments of solace and joy.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hayes; his mother, Mary Joann Bennett; and his brother, Curtis Hayes.
Survivors include his life partner, Ila Martin; his first wife and friend, Kim Hayes; his daughter, Leslie Plemons and spouse, Lemmie; his daughter, Lara Geerdes and spouse, Josh; his son, Jim Jones and spouse, Kyle; his son, Kevin Jones and spouse, Tessa; his grandchildren, Kyler, Hailey, Riley, Taylor, Izaha, Bently, Olivia and Deklan; and his siblings, Howard, Maryann, Freddie, Rocky, Danny and Travis; and numerous other relatives and friends.
