Lexington Head Football Coach Keith Bolles was happy with the efforts of his football squad in their scrimmage last Friday night.
“It went real well,” Bolles said of the scrimmage at Minco. “I thought our young guys competed well. It gave us insight to what we need to work on.
“I thought our offensive line did a really good job,” the coach continued.
He was referring to the play of Cash Lippel, Issac Martin, Dom Diaz, Trace Bradsher, Avin Morgan, Kaison Ayers, Boston Day and Maddox Manuel.
“I thought they did a tremendous job,” Bolles said.
The Bulldogs travel to Bridge Creek this Friday night to open the 2023 gridiron campaign.
Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m.
Bolles reports Bridge Creek will operate out of a spread formation on offense. They base their defense out of a 4-2-5 look.
“They have a lot of kids out,” Bolles said of the Bobcats. “Early on it’s going to be quite the challenge.”
