To go along with much cooler than normal temperatures over the weekend, .8” of an inch of rain was recorded in Purcell August 3 and early in the morning of August 4.

That brings the year-to-date rainfall here to 39.44” compared to 31.47” for Oklahoma City.

The normal rainfall for this time of year is 22.49”.

Temperatures over the weekend were nearly 15 degrees below normal.

According to the Oklahoma Mesonet, Washington received 1.07” and Byars .91”. Pauls Valley recorded 1.11”.

Lake levels across the state were near or above normal with the exception of Altus which, as always, is about 11’ below normal.
