The McClain County District Attorney’s office has reported 67-year-old Timothy McPherson, of Maysville, entered a guilty plea Friday in the Sept. 30, 2022 traffic death of Cherie Hudson, 62, of Purcell.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated the horrific accident at Main and Green.
Hudson was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla and was in the turn lane southbound at Main.
McPherson was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado northbound at a high rate of speed and struck the Corolla head on.
Hudson died from her injuries and McPherson, who was extricated by the Purcell Fire Department with the Hurst Tool, was transported by Wadley’s EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
He sustained critical injuries including head, arm, leg and trunk internal injuries, the OHP reported.
McPherson was ordered to the McClain County Detention Center awaiting formal sentencing August 26.
