Lexington’s Bulldogs will have a lengthy bus trip Thursday traveling to Valliant for a 7 p.m. kick off against the Bulldogs.

Valliant’s Bulldogs run a spread offense with lots of power.

“It’s more of an H-back look,” head coach Sean Guerra reports. “I think this is a good chance for our defense to be successful.”

Likewise, Guerra thinks his offense has a good chance against their 3-4 defense.

“We have a chance to thrive on offense,” the coach confirmed.

Despite losing to Davis last Friday night, 67-0- Guerra said he had three young players that stood out.

“First of all, they had about 65 suited out and we had 17,” Guerra said. “But as a team all 17 of our players played and fought well. We continued to fight and come at them every single snap.

Guerra praised the play of Connor Tullis, Layton Jones and Myler Vile.

“Two weeks ago they were playing junior high against Davis. Then they had to turn around and play the Davis varsity. They stepped up and did what they were supposed to do,” Guerra said.

Kick off Thursday will be at 7 p.m.
