Lexington plays host to Tishomingo Friday night at Floyd West Field with kick off set for 7 p.m.
Head coach Sean Guerra reports the Indians are fighting for a home playoff game and will be a daunting task.
“They are ready to prove something to everyone,” Guerra said.
“They will base out of the spread on offense and set up in a 3-4 look defensively,” the coach said. “They have 10 or so seniors so we will have to match their physicality and play a complete game,” he said.
The Bulldogs came up on the short end of a 44-7 verdict last Friday night at Prague.
Levi Downs scored the lone Bulldog touchdown hauling in a 31-yard pass from Cody Rollins.
“Overall, I thought we fought hard and well,” Guerra said. “We were down to 14 players able to suit up and we lost Conner Tullis during the game with an ankle injury.
“They still came out in the second half and fought together to finish the game. Everyone had to play in all three phases and no one complained or missed a beat,” Guerra said.
“I’m very proud of the fight and grit our boys continue to have during this tough time in the program,” he concluded.
