Justin Daniel Genson, 45, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 12, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1980, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Robert “Rob” and Melissa Genson. He graduated from Washington High School and later earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma.
From an early age, Justin embraced adventure. He lived in multiple countries and traveled extensively throughout his life, developing a deep appreciation for people, experiences, and new places. Known for his intelligence, generous heart, and competitive spirit, Justin cherished time spent with family and friends and enjoyed creating lasting memories with those he loved.
Professionally, Justin built a successful career in point-of-sale systems, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his expertise and dedication. Above all, Justin loved his daughters, Emmarie and Everley, who were his pride and joy. He treasured every moment spent with them and believed becoming a father was the greatest gift he had ever received.
A man of deep faith, Justin faithfully followed Jesus and was an active member of Life Church Broadway and Britton for more than a decade, where he served in numerous capacities. Justin will be remembered for his strong faith, unwavering love for his daughters and family, adventurous spirit, determination, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. Those who knew Justin take comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.
Justin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Verva Frommie; paternal grandparents, Robert “Bob” and Rosetta Genson; stepmother, Debby Genson; and sister, Amanda Genson.
Justin is survived by his daughters, Emmarie Cannon of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Everley Genson of Austin, Texas; mother, Melissa Bryson and stepfather, Robert Bryson, of Aurora, Colorado; father, Robert “Rob” Genson of Washington, Oklahoma; stepbrother, Joseph Bryson and wife, Janelle, of Altamont, New York; stepsister, Kami Lindsay of Lexington, Oklahoma; as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of Justin’s life will be held at Life Church, 9001 North Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
