How are you handling your extra hour since we reverted back to daylight saving time?

It’s always an issue for me to get acclimated to the new time.

Maybe one of these days we can just stick with one or the other time and not have to change back and forth!

This is a holiday favorite and must have at my house. It is a recipe from John D.’s grandmother, Theitis Curreathers Montgomery, who lived in Hobart, Okla.

Buffet Potatoes

2 lbs. frozen hash brown potatoes

1/2 cup melted margarine

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1 can undiluted cream of chicken soup

2 cups grated cheddar cheese

1/2 cup chopped onion

2 cups sour cream

2 cups crushed corn flakes mixed with 1/4 cup melted margarine

Heat oven to 350°.

Thaw potatoes. Combine with rest of ingredients except corn flakes.

Sprinkle buttered corn flakes on top in large flat pyrex dish.

Bake 30-45 minutes or until bubbly. Mix all ingredients together.

Place in greased 9x13 inch casserole dish and bake for 1 hour.
