Funeral services for Dr. Rick Brock, 60, of Purcell will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Lexington First Baptist Church. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
Dr. Brock, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Richard Darren Brock was born September 22, 1964 in Dallas, Texas, the second of three children born to Ronald Melton Brock and Martha Janis (Howard) Brock.
He was raised primarily in Fletcher where he attended school, graduating with the Wildcats Class of 1983. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1996 as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Richard loved his work and genuinely loved people. He was currently working for Immediate Care of Oklahoma.
On June 14, 2003, Rick married Kristy Hill. They made their home in Purcell where they raised four children, Jake, Justin, Ross and Alexis. Away from work, Rick enjoyed bargain hunting and tinkering on projects. He loved anything and everything to do with Oklahoma State, and cheered loud for his Cowboys. He cherished Kristy, his children, grandchildren and family. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Maddox and his mother, Janie Brock.
Rick is survived by his wife, Kristy of the home; children, Jake Farrow (Nichole) of Blanchard, Justin Farrow of Moore, Alexis Brock and Justin Brock, both of the home; father, Ron Brock of Fletcher; sister, Laura Backs (Jason) of Houston, Texas; brother, Scott Brock (Nancy) of Ackworth, Ga.; his pride and joy, grandchildren, Kyptin, Spencer, Kendrick, Kyler, Jentri and Jackson; and a host of other family and friends.
