The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office Interdiction and Criminal Apprehension Unit arrested Miguel Emiterio Camacho September 3 after he was discovered to be in possession of 126 grams, approximately 4.5 ounces, of cocaine.
Camacho was identified by multiple sources and cooperating law enforcement agencies as an active distributor of the drug in Cleveland County and surrounding areas.
He was charged with cocaine trafficking, 28 grams or more.
“Those who choose to distribute dangerous drugs in our community should know that we will continue to identify them, arrest them and hold them accountable,” said Sheriff Darrell Weaver.
“Our interdiction and criminal apprehension teams are working diligently to keep dangerous drugs off our streets and protect the people of Cleveland County. This arrest demonstrates our continued commitment to holding drug traffickers accountable.”
This case marks the second recent arrest by the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office involving cocaine trafficking targeting young adults in and around Norman.
Camacho was also charged with maintaining place for keeping or selling a controlled substance, and possession of controlled substance.
He was released from the Cleveland County Jail September 4 after posting a $55,711.50 bond.
