For obvious reasons, I quickly lost interest in the OU-Texas game in the second quarter.

That’s when I decided to go to the grocery store to pick up a package of hot dogs.

I figured it would be just an easy in-and-out since there would be no one at the store with the game going on.

Wrong.

The store was packed with Sooner fans, all with their game gear on.

They were all on the same page as I was. They all were bored with the game and running an errand to the store.

Lesson learned.

What an awesome thing Coralee and Cash Castle did for hurricane victims in storm-ravaged North Carolina.

As it turns out, the Castle family’s long-time close, personal friend Doug Tallant lives in the devastated area.

That’s where they staged their supply stock trailer the first night and stayed until they could take the replenishments up the mountain the next day.

It was an extremely nice and much needed gesture by the Castle kids.

In times of disaster like hurricane Helene, it just brings out the best in others like Coralee and Cash.

Most of the offices on the second floor of the McClain County Courthouse have changed locations while cleaning of the middle floor takes place.

A complete run down of the offices and where they are operating this week and possibly next week can be found on the front page of this week’s Purcell Register.

After some mold was discovered on the second floor it was recommended the entire floor be cleaned.

It is estimated to take up to two weeks to make the necessary cleaning measures.

The county clerk’s offices are open for business as usual.

The other offices on the second floor have moved.
