To close out a much wetter August than usual 2.5” was recorded in Purcell over the weekend.
Normally August has from 2.5” of rain or less. This year 8.65” was recorded in Purcell.
Rain fell Tuesday in Purcell and the surrounding area.
Additional rainfall was expected Wednesday and Thursday.
For the year, Purcell has received 34” of rain while Oklahoma City is sitting at 25.36”.
The normal year-to-date total for this area is 26.20”.
