Terry Lee Holloway died October 26, 2023, in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years 1 month 28 days. A private family memorial celebration will be held at a later date, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service. Online condolences may be made at www.wadleysfuneralservice.com.
Terry was born August 29, 1961 in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Archie and Alta Sue (McFarland) Holloway. Growing up in Washington, Oklahoma, Terry acquired a quality education and graduated from Washington High School in 1979.
In September 1981, Terry embarked on a lifelong partnership with his beloved wife Judy Suchy. Together they built a sanctuary of love within their home in Purcell and shared an extraordinary bond that endured for an awe-inspiring forty-two years.
Professionally, Terry dedicated himself to exemplary service as a Safety Inspector for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections at LARC. Moreover, he found solace in running cattle. Terry possessed an array of skills that made him a true jack of all trades; there were few things he could not fix or masterfully troubleshoot. Terry took great pleasure in hunting and fishing and found gratification through the art of knife sharpening. Nature’s beauty spoke to his soul as he embraced serene moments spent alongside his cherished wife at the lake.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Archie Holloway; his brother, Tommy Towler; his sister, Leah Walck; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Alta Sue Holloway; his wife, Judy Holloway; his son, Joshua “JT” Holloway; his siblings, Lucretia Harper, Natalie Hirsch and husband, Steve, and Angela Edmondson and husband, Steve; his father-in-law, Jimmie Suchy; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
