A shooting incident in Maysville last Friday ended with the suspect being arrested in Purcell.
That’s according to the McClain County Sheriff’s Department.
About 5 p.m. last Friday Maysville Police responded to a report of a person being shot in the 400 block of First Street.
Maysville Police obtained a description of the suspect and started to search.
Maysville Police Chief Paul Bush spotted the suspect’s vehicle on SH 74 at 110th in McClain County.
After taking a female into custody, she told authorities she dropped the suspected shooter off in Purcell.
The McClain County Sheriff’s Department and Purcell Police were notified and began searching the south side of Purcell.
The sheriff’s department said a deputy spotted the suspect walking down a side street.
Deputies and officers apprehended the suspect, Lee Winzer, Jr., without incident, authorities said.
