Stella Kaye Castle died July 17, 2023, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 61 years 11 months 1 day. Memorial services were  held Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel.  Internment followed at Mars Hill Cemetery in Tribbey, Oklahoma, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Stella was born on August 16, 1961, in Oklahoma City to Emerson Eugene Jackson and Effie (Carr) Jump. Throughout her formative years, Stella thrived in Oklahoma City, attending school and embracing the values instilled by her loving family.

In the tapestry of her life, Stella was united in matrimony with George Urbin during the vibrant decade of the 1980s. Although their paths diverged, fate guided Stella to embark on a new chapter with Scott Castle in 1997.

Those fortunate enough to have known Stella can attest to her abounding love for both family and friends. Her nurturing nature created a welcoming environment where cherished moments were shared and cherished memories created. Stella found solace and joy in pursuing artistic endeavors such as diamond art, drawing, and coloring. These creative outlets allowed her spirit to flourish and her expressive soul to find serenity.

A remarkable aspect of Stella’s character was her unwavering desire to be a part of something greater than herself. She selflessly dedicated countless hours to the Salvation Army, extending aid to those experiencing homelessness despite facing similar challenges in her own life. Her commitment exemplified the depths of compassion that resided within her heart.

In nurturing her garden filled with vibrant plants and delicate flowers, Stella discovered a profound connection with nature. She understood the restorative power of tending to these living beings, cultivating beauty and spreading happiness wherever she went.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Emerson Jackson and Effie Jump; and her siblings, Jackie Jackson and Vicky Jackson.

Survivors include her sons, Layne Castle and wife, Josette Brown, of Arkansas City, Kansas, Gary Bell and wife, Kristy, of Oklahoma City, Bradley Urbin of Arkansas City, Kansas, Walter Jackson and wife, Breanna, of New Cordell, Oklahoma, Rocky Urbin and wife, Amanda Yolk, of Wichita, Kansas, and Jeremy Bell of Kansas; grandchildren, Sabrina Bell, Anissa Behrens, Chevy Bell, Evan Urbin, Caleb Urbin, Fabian Urbin, Zach Bell and Addyson Knoupf; her brother, Colby Jackson; her sister, Leanna Adkisson and husband, Randy; and numerous other relatives and friends.
