Quake confirmed

The US Geological Survey (USGS) in Virginia has confirmed a weak earthquake struck in the Dibble area last Friday, September 8 just after 1 p.m.

The USGS reported is was a 1.8 magnitude quake that rattled some nearby homes and residences occurred about 1:10 p.m.

There were no reports of injuries or damage.

Nova Boyd called The Purcell Register to report her walls at her house shook not once but twice.

The USGS reported there were several minor quakes in this area that day.
