Purcell’s Public Works Authority held a special meeting September 21 at the Community Room of the Purcell Police Service Building concerning marketing and selling of the old Purcell Municipal Hospital building.

After an executive session, the board voted to hire Schrader Real Estate and Auction Co., Inc to market the property and request bids.

The bid deadline has yet to be announced.

Also out of executive session, the board was informed five properties in the area affected for the construction of the I-35/SH 74 interchange have agreed upon prices.

There are 16 others still in negotiations, city manager Dale Bunn said, “ranging from very close to not.”

Board members also voted to budget $10,000 for expenses related to employee recruitment.
