MATC campus changes rapidly moving forward

Things are looking a little different these days at Mid-Amercia Technology Center in Wayne!

The center is undergoing a renovation and addition that will add 29,000 sq. ft. to the Administration Building and a new 2,400 sq. ft. building to house the IT department and infrastructure in one centralized location.

This project began in July with the demolition of the front of the Administration Building to make way for three new conference rooms, offices for administration and finance, a Student Commons area with a coffee shop and lots of restrooms.

As a bonus, one of the conference rooms will be a FEMA-Certified safe room, which will allow MATC to have an additional safe room with a capacity for all of our staff and students on the north side of campus.

Things are rapidly moving forward. The safe room walls are up, and floors are being poured for the renovations and additions to the Administration Building. This building is scheduled to be completed in October of 2024.

MATC will be providing updates about the renovations and additions to the Administration Building and information about the new IT building.
