A tip of the hat to all the hard work that has been put in at both First Baptist Church Purcell and Lexington for their Vacation Bible Schools.
The decorations have been amazing and you can tell a lot of people have put a lot of thought and effort into the elaborate decorations, craft making and religious education.
They’ve had games and snacks and are being creative to help give school age children a break from the rigors of regular education at their respective schools.
Emmanuel Baptist Church will have their VBS next week with Our Lady of Victory holding its VBS in July.

We can collectively count our lucky stars that so far this storm season we have been spared the damage, loss of life and lack of electric power that some in this part of the country have experienced in the last few weeks.
The poor souls in Perrytown, Texas and other small towns that have basically been wiped off the face of the earth.
Then there are our friends and neighbors in the Tulsa who were hit with a wall of wind the other night that has knocked out power to a large part of the Sooner State’s second largest city.
It’s making it tough on businesses and down right dangerous with the existing heat and humidity causing the heat index to rise into the triple digits with no air-conditioning.
