Lois Berglan Crowder went to be with her Lord on September 17, 2024. A celebration of life service will be held at South Georgia Baptist Church on October 5, 2024 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chris Cavitt officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Lois was born on March 10, 1946, the second child of seven born to Orval and Hellen Elleta (Burnett) Berglan in Lexington, Oklahoma. Lois accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Falls Creek Baptist Assembly in Davis, Oklahoma, in 1959 at the age of 13. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1964. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University and East Central University.
Lois married Ronald Crowder on March 2, 1968. They began their married life together in Colorado Springs where their children were born. Lois prioritized caring for her husband and children as they moved around the country with Ron’s Air Force assignments.
She also worked as a babysitter, housekeeper, and school cafeteria worker. Lois greatly enjoyed teaching babies and Mission Friends at their churches for many years.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years; her father and mother and her sister Hellen Finley.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Cavitt and husband, Wade, of Amarillo, Texas; son, Allen and his wife, Kelly, of Lewisville, Texas; grandsons ,Chris, Austin, Chase, Luke and Zayden; granddaughter, Abi; sisters, Wanda Keeler, Joann Robson and Joyce Walker; brothers, Glenn Berglan and Vernon Berglan; brother-in-law, Tony Finley and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to World Vision, Mercy Ships, American Cancer Association, or South Georgia Baptist Church.
