They burn anywhere from 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit to 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

That’s right up there with the brilliant teenage boys who light Black Cats and then throw them.

If you get a short or quick fuse they can go off in your hand.

That makes it hard on your ear drum as well.

You can believe this or not but the State Legislature of Michigan has passed legislation making it a felony to intimidate someone by intentionally using the wrong gender pronoun.

The legislation now goes to the State Senate and if approved is expected to be signed into law by the their governor.

The punishment is up to $10,000 and not more than five years in the state penitentiary.

Wow.

McClain County Treasurer Teresa Jones was sworn in Monday by District Judge Leah Edwards for another four year term.

All the other county officers are sworn in in January but by statute, Oklahoma Treasurers are sworn in around July 1.

“That’s because January is one of our busiest times of the year collecting taxes,” Jones said.

Teresa was assisted in the swearing in ceremony by grandchildren Swayze and Easton Sharp, who held the Bible for her as Edwards read the oath.
