Two confirmed cases in Wayne

Wayne has two confirmed cases of COVID-19 including a student in secondary grades and a secondary teacher.

That’s the word from Wayne Superintendent Toby Ringwald.

“Our teachers have been doing a really good job of social distancing and due to that we didn’t have to quarantine a whole lot (of people),” Ringwald said.

“I want to be as transparent as possible,” he continued. “This is just part of what we are dealing with. I believe we will be doing this on a regular basis.”

Ringwald said the community of Wayne doesn’t want the school closed and children sent home.

“We will just deal with it as we go along,” he said.
