Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell. Graveside service followed at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
She was born July 21, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas, to W.L. “Mack” and Dorothy (Bingley) McBroom.
Her pride and joy in life were raising her two sons, Robbie and Tommie. She could often be seen supporting her children at all school and sporting events.
Tanya enjoyed spending time with her ladies group at her church, her annual “planting” of her silk flowers in her yard, frequent Sonic trips and car rides with her sister, Shelly, along with cooking and laughing with her family. Her famous baked beans will sure be missed.
Tanya was preceded in death by her parents, W.L “Mack” and Dorothy McBroom and her partner of over 20 years, Sherel Bruehl.
She is survived by her sons, Robbie Goodman of Chicago, Ill., and Tommie Herell and daughter-in-law, Shawna Herell, of Norman; sister, Sandra and brother-in-law, Dr. Emile Farha of Oklahoma City; brother, Terry McBroom of Oklahoma City; sister, Shelly McBroom of Purcell; granddaughter, Harper Herell; two neices, Christina Duthie and Savanna Hunt, along with great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bryan Dye, wife, Jan Dye, their family and medical staff for the care and love they have shown to our family over the many years of knowing them.
