Around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Purcell Police reported shots were fired at the Star Travel Plaza in Purcell, located at 2425 SH 74 south of town and just west of Interstate 35.
Captain James Bolling reported detectives were at the travel plaza as of 6:48 p.m. and were processing the scene. Police do not have a suspect or suspects.
According to Bolling, witnesses said the shooters were two Black males but police had no concrete evidence about the shooter or shooters.
No one was injured in the incident and police do not know how many shots were fired, Captain Bolling reported.
The investigation was expected to last into the night.
