The annual Christmas parade will be a little bit different this year.
Heart of Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Elisabeth Baker reports the event will be a drive by.
“We’re calling it Santa Cruise,” Baker told The Purcell Register, “because people are going to drive down Main Street and stay in their cars.”
The Jolly old Elf will be in the parade riding on a fire truck.
“You can’t get close to him this year and there will be no photos allowed,” Baker continued. “You can give him a big wave this year.”
No bands or floats will be in the event.
The drive-by event will be held Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
