Purcell’s Board of Education updated policies and voted to purchase a couple of new vehicles at its regular monthly meeting Monday at the school administration building.

The board approved an overnight Spring Break trip for the Dragon baseball team to Broken Bow in March for a tournament.

In routine matters, the board voted to operate the school calendar by hours instead of days.

In a resolution, the board named the Purcell Public School Foundation as an agent to receive donations on behalf of the school district for the Equal Opportunity Education Scholarship Tax Credit program.

The Co-op agreement with the Lexington School district for wrestling was approved.

The board voted to purchase a 14 passenger Chevy bus and approved purchasing a Ford Expedition to replace the district’s aging Suburban.

Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo said the board approved fund-raisers for junior high STUCO, football, FFA, Spanish Club and HS Misc. They also set up a new account for soccer and one for Special Olympics.
