Graveside funeral services for Pat Croslin, 80, of Purcell were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2024 at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
Mrs. Croslin passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Purcell Municipal Hospital.
Patricia Ann Rousey was born May 7, 1944 in Purcell. She was the sixth of eight children born to William Jasper “Jap” Rousey and Edna Viola (Boyd) Rousey.
Raised in Purcell, she graduated with the Dragon’s Class of 1962. By chance, while with her friends on Main St., she met a young man from Wayne named Ken Croslin. They were the perfect couple, and on December 7, 1962, they were married in Purcell.
They first made their home in Maysville, where they raised their children, daughter, Kelly and son, Jeff. Pat worked in the family grocery store in Maysville, Croslin’s Grocery for a time, and also at Coy’s in Purcell.
Her greatest joy was being a wife and mother, and she was never happier than the day she became a “Gigi.” She lived every day for her family, and she loved spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed the simple things in life, like tending to her yard and looked forward to her Friday hair appointments with her aunt Linda.
She was a talented softball player and loved cheering on her OU Sooners. She was the rock of the family; a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Croslin Simms; her parents, Jap and Edna Rousey and siblings, Edna Rousey, Tom Rousey and Don Rousey.
Pat is survived by her husband, Ken Croslin of the home; son, Jeff Croslin of Purcell; sisters, Sandra Sanders of Lexington and Jenny Smith of Salem, Ore.; brothers, Bill Rousey of Purcell and Terry Rousey of Claremore; her pride and joy, grandchildren, Kassidy Croslin of Norman, Blake Croslin of Norman and Kinley Croslin of Norman and great-grands, Klover, Matilda and Lily and many other family and friends.
