New to the Bulldog family

New teachers at Lexington for the 2023-24 school year include Tony Bertolozzi, Courtney Boudreau, Michael G. Brown, Courtney Ellis, Larry Flores, Jennifer Fourcode, Myra Fullingim, Devin Doty, Stephanie Jessup, Shannon Kirby, Mildred Renee Pike, Brian Stenseth, Nashea Stubblefield and Amie Whithead.

Bertolozzi will teach band and music for grades six through 12.

He is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University and previously taught band and music at Maysville.

He took the position at Lexington so he could be closer to home and spend more time with his daughter, Lily.

He is a Chicago Cubs and Dallas Stars fan.

Boudreau will teach fourth grade. She is a Drumright High School and East Central University graduate.

“I did my student teaching at the elementary and said I would love to teach anywhere in Lexington Public Schools,” she said. “I am a good team worker and always ready for new challenges.”

Brown will teach physics and chemistry at Lexington High School.

He and his wife, Peggy, have two children.

Brown is a graduate of Grossmont High School and Northeastern State University.

He previously taught biology at Wewoka High School and at a middle school in Japan.

“I love physics and want to pass on that love of science and discovery to the students,” Brown said.

“Besides being a father and husband to a wonderful family and enjoying all we do together, I have many hobbies and interests that I have little time to pursue,” he said speaking of camping, hiking, fishing, guitar, movies, reading, gardening, legos and sometimes exercise.”

Ellis will teach fourth grade.

She and her husband, Michael, have two children.

Ellis is a graduate of Wanette High School and East Central University.

She previously taught fifth and sixth grade and special education at Wanette.

“I love the vision Lexington Public School has and the opportunity it has to offer. I am excited to be a part of the Bulldog family,” Ellis said.

Flores will teach seventh grade geography.

He is a graduate of Purcell High School and Oklahoma City Community College.

He has served as head baseball coach and assistant softball coach at Douglass High School and also coached at Santa Fe South.

“I grew up in the communities surrounding us,” Flores said. “My hope is to shape a foundation of our next leaders in line to do the same.”

Flores reports he comes from a family of educators including his brother, sister, sister-in-law, his wife, Abigail.

Fourcode will serve as librarian at Lexington.

She is a Pauls Valley High School graduate. She earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education at East Central University and her Master in Library Information at OU.

She and her husband, Leon, have two children, Jake and Lauren.

“I love kids, the library and STEAM,” she said.

Fourcode has a Shollie (shepard/collie mix) named Duke. She enjoys swimming and gardening for exercise.

Fullingim will teach first grade.

She is a graduate of Ada High School and East Central University.

The mother of three has previously taught kindergarten.

“I wanted to teach in a small district and Lexington has a great reputation,” Fullingim said.”This will be my 13th year teaching. I love the lake, camping and shopping.”

Doty will teach Pre-K at Lexington Elementary.

She and her husband, Terence, have three children, Lincoln, Elias and Crew.

She is a graduate of Norman North High School and The University of Oklahoma.

She has previously taught Pre-K at Cochran Music Preschool in Norman.

Doty said she recently moved to Purcell and wanted to be closer to her children. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling when she can, and shopping.

Jessup will teach sixth grade math.

She is a graduate of Lexington High School and USAO.

She previously taught at Noble Middle School.

She accepted the position at Lexington to come back home.

She and her husband, Adam, have three children, Jennifer, Jade and Johnathan.

Kirby will be a junior high counselor.

She and her husband, Robert, have three children, Ashlyn Newton, Ailey Wray and Cale McCoy.

Kirby is a graduate of Cordell High School and Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Her previous education experience was working as a Gear Up Counselor for Seminole State College.

“The position as a Gear Up Counselor lead me to understand that this profession was my true calling,” Kirby said.

“I love helping students navigate their educational journey. I have lived around the Lexington community for six years and I felt God lead me here.

“I enjoy spoiling my longhorns, donkey and rescued mini-pig,” she said. “I also love traveling with my husband and spending time with my adult children.”

Pike will teach fifth grade math.

She is a Lexington High School graduate and earned her degree from Oklahoma State University and National University.

“I want to help youth become productive citizens,” She said.

She and her husband, Zebulon, have two children, Dillon and Zachary.

An animal lover, Pike has three dogs.

Stenseth will teach ninth grade aviation.

He and his wife, Cynthia, have three children, Jeremy, Sara and Andrea.

His previous teaching experience is in the United States Navy and at Northrup/Rice University.

He took the position at Lexington to start an aviation program.

Stenseth is a 20-year Navy veteran and has 47 years in the aviation field.

Stubblefield will teach first grade.

She and her husband, Joe, have a son, Kyler.

She is a graduate of Lindsay High School and East Central University.

She previously taught first grade in Ada.

“During my interview, I felt Lexington was the perfect fit for me,” Stubblefield said.

Whitehead will teach third grade.

She previously taught at Noble and served as Cleveland County 4-H Educator.

She is a graduate of Noble High School and East Central University.

“I am excited to return to the classroom,” Whitehead said.

“I love to spend time with my family. I currently live on a hobby farm that keeps me busy.”
