Misty Dawn Hernandez died unexpectedly June 25, 2023 in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 37 years 11 months 20 days. Funeral Service are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service. Misty was born July 5, 1985, in Norman, Oklahoma. She was raised in and attended school in Purcell. Misty has worked numerous jobs over her lifetime. She enjoyed garage sales and clothes, cookouts and cooking. Misty loved spending time with friends and family, especially sneaking off with her son and spending time with him.
Her family was extremely important to her and she loved spending time with her nieces, nephews and cousins. Misty never met a stranger, and quickly became friends with anyone she met. Misty loved helping others and doing any and everything. She also enjoyed taking care of Tigger, Cujo and Walter.
Misty was preceded in death by her grandparents; her aunts; and a cousin.
Survivors include her mother, Kim Dobbs and stepfather, Catalino Ruiz Hernandez of Purcell; her biological father, Jose Hernandez of Houston, Texas; her son, Andreas Hernandez of Purcell; her siblings, Valentin Hernandez of Purcell and Cherokee Hernandez of Goldsby; her nieces, Gracia and Milley; her nephew, Leland; her grandparents, Jerry and Betty Lucas of Poteau; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
