Graveside services for Jennifer Bayless, 55, of Purcell were held Friday, October 2, 2020 at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mrs. Bayless passed away Monday, September 28, 2020.
Jennifer Lynne Carroll was born December 16, 1964 in Purcell, one of two children born to Jim and Louise (Andrews) Carroll. She attended school in Wayne, graduating with the Bulldog Class of 1983.
Jennifer married Larry Tompkins, and to this union two children, daughter Jill, and son Jeff were born. Jennifer was a very active mom. She loved following her children in all their various activities and sporting events. She never missed a game, and was the “ultimate” ball mom. Through the years, she became a grandmother, and her grandchildren then became her greatest joy.
Jennifer later married Tracy Bayless, and they made their home in Purcell. Together they owned a commercial cleaning business, TJ’s Cleaning. Jennifer also worked with her sister-in-law, Cindy, at Auntie Mae’s in Purcell. She loved garage sales and flea markets, and she and Tracy traveled all over looking for treasures. She was the ultimate antique dealer, although she preferred “junker”.
Jennifer enjoyed the simple, everyday blessings, like sitting in her chair and watching the kids, and playing with her fur baby, Macie. She believed in hard work, taking care of others, and her faith was strong. She loved the Lord and reminded her children to keep the kids in church. She was a wonderful wife and daughter; the best absolute best mother and grandmother; a sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed!
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Tracy Bayless of the home; daughter, Jill Lee and husband, Cody, of Moore; son, Jeff Tompkins and wife, Hilary, of Asher; parents, Jim and Louise Carroll of Wayne; brother, Allen Carroll and wife, Jacinda, of Wayne; stepchildren, Ryan Bayless of Moore and Hannah Bayless of Purcell; three grandchildren, Jaxson Lee, Hailey Lee and Jace Tompkins; niece, Erin Bowen and Luke Carroll; sister-in-law, Cindy Milsap of Purcell; brother and sister-in-law Keith and Rachel Bayless of Marlow, Okla., and a host of other family and friends and the loving friends and co-workers at Auntie Mae’s Antiques.
