Investigation re-opened

In a very brief press release, the Cleveland County Sheriff Office announced it has re-opened an investigation into the Lexington Animal Shelter.

“In response to recent public concerns and new information regarding the alleged treatment of animals at the Lexington Animal Shelter, the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has re-opened the investigation into the facility and its practices.

“As this investigation is ongoing, further details are not available at this time,” the release said.
