Delbert Dean Henderson died March 28, 2023, in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years 2 months 3 days. Funeral services were held Monday, April 3, 2023, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment followed at Lexington Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.  Online condolences may be made, and service livestreamed at www.wadleysfuneralservice.com.

Delbert was born January 25, 1966, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to William (Bill) and Mary Marie (Pruitt) Henderson. He was raised and attended school in Lexington, Oklahoma. Delbert was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the First Born on December 15, 1985, by brother Randy Foote.

He and Tennessee Cristine Skinner were united in marriage on March 7, 1986, and were married for 16 years before Tennessee passed in 2002.

Delbert worked in the water department for many years for the City of Lexington and retired early to start his dream of owning his own tractor company. In 2020, Delbert and his son, Derick, opened Henderson and Sons Tractor Works, LLC.  Delbert enjoyed dirt work and stump grinding and was a master at operating a tractor.

He married Tracy Rodgers on November 22, 2022.  Delbert enjoyed fishing, hunting, bird watching and photography.  He also enjoyed a good cup of Cain’s instant coffee or instant sweet tea. Delbert loved animals, and taking care of the neighbor’s dogs that would wander up, but above all he loved his family and spent time with them whenever he could.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) and Mary Marie (Pruitt) Henderson; his wife, Tennessee Henderson; his son, Delbert Dean Henderson, Jr.; his sisters, Kay Cearley, Judy Hayles and Vergie Henderson; his brother, Michael Henderson; his nephews, Ricky Bear, Clinton Reeves and Dallas Skinner; his uncle, Jerry Pruitt; and his great-niece, Ruth Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy Henderson of Lexington; his daughter, Crystal Henderson of Noble; his son, Derick Henderson and wife, Megan, of Lexington; his daughter, Deana French and husband, Danny, of Noble; his daughter, Amanda Rains and husband, Robert, of Lexington; his son, Joshua Henderson of Lexington; his daughter, Skye McCleary of Lexington; his granddaughter, Memphis Mae Henderson; his brothers, William Henderson and Joe Henderson; his nieces and nephews, Jason Henderson and wife, Erin, Kaylyn Moody and husband, Alvin, Ashley Henderson, Little Joe Henderson, Starla Henderson, Heather Henderson, Jeff Cearley and wife, Nancy, Janice Skinner, Christina Skinner and husband, Abe,  CJ Jaquez and wife, Sheri, Jennie Bramlage, Rocky Hayles and Keith Hayles and wife, Cher; his great-nieces and nephews, Nick Cearley, Lonnie Skinner, Twilla Ward and husband, Tanner, Matt Skinner and wife, Renee, and their two children, Carolyn Smith and husband, Tyler, Dallisha Gray and husband, Tyrel, Shawn Skinner, Mercedes Bramlage, Destiny Hayles, Lee Hayles, Dalton Hayles, Jake Hayles, Charity Wittman and husband, Mykel, Brittany Welch and husband, Dalton, and their sons, Rifle and Atreyu, AJ Skinner and Ricky Lee Bear and many other relatives and friends.
