Graveside memorial services for David Glen Harlan, 64, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. Services will be under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
David Glen Harlan passed at his home on October 27, 2022.
David was born in Purcell, Oklahoma on April 17, 1958, one of two children born to Bobby Joe Harlan of Purcell, Oklahoma, and Delores Jean Taylor of Lexington, Oklahoma. He was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell High School graduating in the Dragon Class of 1976.
David worked in several different occupations during his life including the Oklahoma Dept of Transportation, Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Oklahoma Electric Coop, and, most recently, at the McClain County Sheriff’s Office.
He built many friendships during his life, and he had a special bond with his cousin, Jerry, who he loved watching Oklahoma Sooner Football with.
David enjoyed visiting and laughing with family during the holidays. He truly enjoyed listening to music, was a big movie buff and an avid reader of many types of books. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted, gentle man and lover of the Lord. He will be greatly missed!
David was preceded in death by parents, Bob and Jean Harlan; several aunts, uncles and grandparents.
David is survived by his sister, Terri Jo Harlan Sizemore of Texas; nephew, Aaron Sizemore and wife, Brittany, and children Julia and Jack of Texas; aunts, Patsy Merrell and Linda Kay Marsh; uncle, Rod Taylor, along with many many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Diabetes Research Institute on David’s behalf.
