The Heart of Oklahoma received a generous amount of rainfall Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of last week.
In one rain gauge in Purcell 1.4” was recorded Monday with another .2” measured on Tuesday and a whopping 1.7” on Thursday bringing the week’s total to 3.3”.
One gauge in Dibble received 4.2” for the same time period.
The driving rain flooded the Middle School at Washington forcing classes to be cancelled Thursday and Friday.
The rainfall brought the total in Purcell up to 30.05” for the year. Oklahoma City has recorded 18.97” inches at Will Rogers World Airport.
The normal year-to-date for the area is 26.01”.
